Associative Arrays: Unified Mathematics for Spreadsheets, Databases, Matrices, and Graphs

چکیده
Data processing systems impose multiple views on data as it is processed by the system. These views include spreadsheets, databases, matrices, and graphs. The common theme amongst these views is the need to store and operate on data as whole sets instead of as individual data elements. This work describes a common mathematical representation of these data sets (associative arrays) that applies across a wide range of applications and technologies. Associative arrays unify and simplify these different approaches for representing and manipulating data into common two-dimensional view of data. Specifically, associative arrays (1) reduce the effort required to pass data between steps in a data processing system, (2) allow steps to be interchanged with full confidence that the results will be unchanged, and (3) make it possible to recognize when steps can be simplified or eliminated. Most database system naturally support associative arrays via their tabular interfaces. The D4M implementation of associative arrays uses this feature to provide a common interface across SQL, NoSQL, and NewSQL databases. The growth of large, unstructured data sets is driving the development of new tech nologies for finding items of interest in these data. Because of the tremendous expansion of data from DNA sequencing, bioinformatics has become an active area of research in the supercomputing com munity [1, 2]. متن کاملIsomorphism of a Fuzzy Graph Using Fuzzy Matrix Equality
In this study we discuss about an application of fuzzy graph isomorphism. If we look two unequal fuzzy matrices on undirected fuzzy graphs, we cannot say either the fuzzy graphs of theses fuzzy matrices are isomorphic or not isomorphic. It is because two fuzzy matrices may look different even if the fuzzy graphs are isomorphic. In this study, by using the algorithm for fuzzy graph isomorphism i...
متن کاملPerfect $2$-colorings of the Platonic graphs
In this paper, we enumerate the parameter matrices of all perfect $2$-colorings of the Platonic graphs consisting of the tetrahedral graph, the cubical graph, the octahedral graph, the dodecahedral graph, and the icosahedral graph.
متن کاملOn the powers of fuzzy neutrosophic soft matrices
In this paper, The powers of fuzzy neutrosophic soft square matrices (FNSSMs) under the operations $oplus(=max)$ and $otimes(=min)$ are studied. We show that the powers of a given FNSM stabilize if and only if its orbits stabilize for each starting fuzzy neutrosophic soft vector (FNSV) and prove a necessary and sufficient condition for this property using the associated graphs of the FNSM. ...
متن کاملReachability and Observability Graphs for Linear Positive Systems on Time Scales
Positive reachability and positive observability of positive linear systems on time scales are studied. Differential and integral calculus on time scales allows for unified treatment of continuousand discrete-time systems. Reachability and observability graphs for positive systems are introduced. They are used to characterize positive reachability and positive observability for systems on homog...
